Julie is the founder and driving force behind Distinction. She is a highly experienced and energetic strategic marketing professional with over 25 years’ consultancy experience across multiple countries, cultures and sectors, including manufacturing.
She is passionate about placing knowledge before assumption and her talent for developing evidence-based strategy has transformed hundreds of organisations.
Julie holds a master’s degree in Marketing Management (with Distinction) from Lancaster University, and is a Chartered Marketer.
Founder and Lead Consultant
Julie is an experienced endurance runner. She competes at Marathon and Ultra Marathon distances on some of the toughest mountain trails in the UK and Europe, often with her Labrador, Fenn.
Senior Consultant
Bev has 10 years’ multi-sector consultancy experience with Distinction. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her previous role as a senior marketeer for a leading facilities management services group. Her inquisitive and analytical mind, her ability to grasp complex and technical subjects quickly, and her unflappable demeanour are all highly valued by clients, large and small.
Bev holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Geology from the University of Liverpool, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing, and is a Chartered Marketer.
Senior Consultant
Bev loves the outdoors. She lives in a beautiful place and takes every opportunity to walk in the countryside with her family and canine companion, Remy (Fenn’s cousin!) She has recently completed her first Ultra Marathon -the first of many!
