Growing through new markets

Distinction Consulting, along with our strategic partner WilsonCooke, recently led a business seminar focused on delivering growth through intelligence, insight and informed marketing strategy for the Manchester based Business Growth Hub.

The Growth Company Business Growth Hub has a wealth of experience in supporting business growth and creating jobs in several sectors, with a key focus on manufacturing.

The seminar took place at the Whitecroft Lighting facility in Ashton-Under-Lyne and was attended by business leaders from small and medium-sized enterprises. They used the opportunity to network, share knowledge and connect with Manufacturing and Engineering Champions, including, Dr Paul Hunt CSi CChem, R&D Director of Victrex plc and Andrew Peters, Managing Director of Siemens Digital Factory.

Julie Graham from Distinction Consulting and WilsonCooke’s Marketing Director, Nicole Whittingham ran an informative and up-beat session on how together, they supported the ambitious growth plans of Sharmans – manufacturers of engineered high-performance systems for commercial and industrial gutters – through the development and execution of an informed and insightful evidence-based market entry and growth strategy.

Following the seminar, there was a practical workshop that had been designed to help delegates identify, understand and enter a new market for their own organisations.

To round off the day, a guided tour of the Whitecroft Lighting facility, helped demonstrate and bring to life some of the topics that had been discussed by Distinction Consulting, WilsonCooke and The Business Growth Hub’s Manufacturing and Engineering Champions.
